Virginia Beach is full of big hotels, but there are a few great options for travelers who prefer the smaller, more intimate feel of a bed and breakfast. Several of these options still put you right on the beach/boardwalk, and the ones farther out reward you with authentic charm and real luxury. Unless you are dead-set on the big hotel experience, these bed and breakfasts need to be on your short list the next time you plan a Virginia Beach trip.
